Thieves take $1,400 from BG Meijer
Nearly $1,400 in merchandise was reportedly stolen from the Bowling Green Meijer store on Sunday.
According to Bowling Green police, at 7:45 p.m. officers were advised that Meijer staff were chasing after subjects who had taken merchandise from the store.
They left the store in a dark green Chevy Malibu and exited onto Dunbridge Road.
The subjects reportedly stole 11 Leap Pad Leapster devices, valued at a total of $1,399.89.
Christmas trees recycled
The Wood County Park District will accept Christmas trees for recycling Dec. 26 through Jan. 10.
Make sure all decorations have been removed, and look for signs indicating where to drop trees off at the following Wood County parks:

â€˘Â Â Â Grand Rapids area - Otsego Park, 20000 West River Road

â€˘Â Â Â North Baltimore area - Slippery Elm Trail, parking lot on East Broadway Street.
Eastwood Hall of Fame committee meets Wed.
PEMBERVILLE - The newly formed Eagle Way Hall of Fame committee meeting will be Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Higher Grounds in Pemberville. Â
The meeting will consist of finalizing plans for the inaugural dinner, February 22.Â All Eastwood residents welcome to participate.
Reddin sworn in Thursday
Bowling Green Municipal Court Judge Mark Reddin will be sworn in for his fourth term Thursday at 5 p.m. by Ohio Supreme Court Justice Judith Lanzinger. Â
The public ceremony will be conducted at the Bowling Green Municipal Court on South Dunbridge Road.
A small public reception will immediately follow the ceremony. Â
