Man guilty of theft, sex charge
A Haskins man pleaded guilty to multiple counts, including grand theft and sex charges.
Keith M. Stetler, 19, appeared Friday in the courtroom of Wood County Judge Alan Mayberry.
He pleaded guilty to grand theft when the property is a firearm, two counts of burglary, receiving stolen property, one count of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, and one count of voyeurism.
The grand theft, burglary and receiving stolen property counts stemmed from the theft of two guns from his parents’ Haskins home in December, 2012 and from a November 2012, theft of two handguns from a Weston residence, as well as the theft of items from his grandmother’s home in Haskins, reportedly perpetrated with another individual. Three of the stolen weapons were sold.
The sex charges stem from an incident discovered in April. Stetler reportedly took video on his phone of a -16-year-old girl in a state of nudity.
As part of a plea deal, firearms specifications were dropped. Stetler is to be sentenced Feb. 7.
