Siren repaired in Bowling GreenTornado sirens that blew in Bowling Green this morning were part of
a test.The sirens were set off shortly after 8 a.m.Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn said that one siren
was being repaired in the city, and the company doing the work asked to have the siren set off to determine
if it was fixed.Due to the siren system, "we can’t set off just one siren," said Wasylyshyn, so
all sounded as part of the test.Bowling Green State University sent out an alert about the sirens this
morning, informing subscribers that the siren was a test.Tontogany crash injures driverTONTOGANY – One
person was taken to the hospital after a crash on Tontogany Creek Road Wednesday.The Wood County Sheriff’s
Office reports that at 4:11 p.m. Alex Heyman, Bowling Green, was northbound on Tontogany Creek Road in the
19000 block when he failed to negotiate a curve.He then struck a vehicle driven by Michael Mercer, Weston,
who was southbound on the roadway.Mercer reported possible injuries and was taken to Wood County Hospital by
Northwest Wood EMS.Heyman was cited for reasonable control.Pedestrians hit by vehiclesA man was struck by a
vehicle in Perrysburg and taken to the hospital this morning.A Perrysburg police dispatcher confirmed the
incident occurred in the 27000 block of Fort Meigs Road at 6:22 a.m.The victim was taken by ambulance to the
University of Toledo Medical Center.A police officer was reportedly still on-scene as of 7:30 this morning,
and additional details were not available.No injuries were reported after a man was struck by a vehicle in
Perrysburg Township Thursday morning.The incident was reported at 5:50 a.m. in the Lakemont subdivision, off
of Oregon Road.A Perrysburg Township dispatcher said that the adult male was struck by a vehicle, and that
an ambulance and police were dispatched to the scene.However, the man was not injured and was not taken to a
hospital.Washington Twp. moves meetingTONTOGANY – The Washington Township Trustees have rescheduled
Tuesday’s meeting to Dec. 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the township building in Tontogany. This will also be their
