Two injured after striking semi-tractor
LUCKEY - Two Genoa residents were injured after a head-on crash with a parked semi on Bradner Road Tuesday evening.
According to the Wood County Sheriff's Office, at 6 p.m. Edgar Hurdelbrink, driving a Chevy Silverado, was southbound on Bradner Road in the 24000 block when he struck head-on a semi-tractor trailer that was parked facing north in the southbound lane.
According to the crash report, the semi had been parked there earlier in the day when there was daylight by Robert Sibbersen, and a cone had been placed in front of it. Sibbersen had been driving a combine and had stopped it to turn the semi's lights on when the crash occurred.
Hurdelbrink and his passenger, Nancy Hurdelbrink, were taken by Troy Township EMS to Bay Park Community Hospital, Oregon, with incapacitating injuries.
Both were treated and released from the hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
