Not in Our Town event Tuesday
The community is invited to attend a Not In Our Town Campaign meeting Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Bowling Green Junior High School Performing Arts Center.
Bowling Green State University and the City of Bowling Green are joining together to reaffirm their commitment to social justice, equity and inclusion as well as embrace and celebrate diversity.
There will be various presenters, a film, and opportunity for discussion.
Transportation meets Monday
The Transportation and Safety Committee of Bowling Green City Council meets Monday at 6 p.m. in the City Administrative Services Building, 304 N. Church St., as a follow up to a presentation heard on Oct. 7 regarding transportation.
Genealogy meeting Tuesday
The Wood County Chapter of Ohio Genealogical Society will meet Tuesday in the Wood County District Public Library Meeting Room, 251 N. Main St.
A brief business meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. The program will be a "Round Table - Give and Tell". Bring your questions about genealogy, "How do I find this?" "Where do I go from here?" "I need help," to the meeting and others who have already had the same questions will tell how them solved them.
Clothing items being collected
Frisch's Big Boy on East Wooster Street has paired with I-Nation to collect new hats, mittens, gloves, scarves and gently used coats for a project called the "Giving Tree."
Starting Monday through Dec. 1 these items may be deposited in a container near the entrance of the restaurant.
A 10 percent discount on a meal will be given those who donate.
On Dec. 1 the items will be picked up by I-Nation for distribution.
Fostoria Road work complete
The Ohio Department of Transportation reports that resurfacing and bridge work on Fostoria Road, at Ohio 163 is now complete.
