HOPE meets Wednesday
HOPE, a support group for those who have lost a loved one to suicide, will meet Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1033 Conneaut Ave., Bowling Green.
Assault reported on BGSU campus
A Bowling Green State University student made a report Sunday an assault in a campus parking lot occurring the previous weekend.
The student reported that three unknown white males had assaulted him at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 6, in university parking lot E.
The victim stated that one suspect had blond hair and was wearing a black shirt, the second had brown hair and was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, and the third had brown hair and was wearing an orange V-neck shirt.
Lot E is located along Thurstin Street across from the Bowen-Thompson Student Union.
Wood County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible. Those with any information that would assist in the investigation are ask to contact the BGSU Police Department at 419-372-2346.
Emerson Road closed for repair
The Wood County Highway Garage has announced Emerson Road between Holcomb and Portage roads will be closed starting at 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Wednesday for tile repair.
Habitat seeks $40G to build Bradner home
Habitat of Wood County's Building Fund is currently at 60 percent of the fundraising goal to begin the next construction project. It is a home for the Wittenmeyer family, scheduled to break ground next April in Bradner.
Currently, $100,000 is the average cost to build a three-bedroom, 1,100-square-foot, Energy Star 3.0 home. That's the goal for this, the 32nd home build in the local program's history. Both monetary donations and hands-on building volunteers are being sought.
