Crash closes Route 6 this morning
One person was reportedly trapped following a multiple-vehicle accident on U.S. 6 at Interstate 75, south of the city, this morning.
According to the Bowling Green post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash was called in at around 7:14 a.m. Westbound Route 6 was reportedly closed as of 7:30 a.m. as a result of the incident.
Two, and as many as three, vehicles were believed to be involved. Information on injuries was not immediately available.

Pro-charter coalition in Bowling Green
Bowling Green Mayor Richard Edwards has called a 9:30 a.m. Wednesday press conference to announce the formation of a coalition of citizens interested in preserving Bowling Green's charter.
The Bowling Green Coalition for Preserving the City Charter will work to inform voters of the purpose and history of the city charter and the possible effect of the proposed amendment on the charter.
Edwards will serve a chairperson of the coalition, with former mayor John Quinn as honorary chairman.
Additional members of a bipartisan commission will be announced at that time.

Man suffers broken jaw
One man suffered a broken jaw after an altercation Sunday.
Bowling Green Police received report of the incident, which occurred at Manville Avenue and East Wooster Street, at 2:04 p.m. The incident reportedly took place around 1:30 a.m.
The victim, who was taken to the Wood County Hospital Emergency Room, reportedly sustained a broken jaw and seven stitches under his chin.
He could not offer any information to police regarding the suspects.

Harrison Park closed Thursday
The Wood County Park District has announced that William Henry Harrison Park located at 644 Bierley Ave., Pemberville, will be closed Thursday for surface maintenance of the entry drive and parking lots.
The park is expected to reopen Friday morning for regular use.
Park facilities in the Wood County Park District are open from 8 a.m. until 30 minutes after sunset, 365 days a year.
Any questions should be directed to the Park District Headquarters at 419-353-1897.
