Perrysburg hires deputy police chief
PERRYSBURG - City council approved the hiring of a new deputy police chief Tuesday, a position that's been vacant for several months.
James J. Rose, former police chief of Milan, Ohio, was hired for the position, vacated in May when Michael Gilmore left to take a similar position with Perrysburg Township.
Before leading the Milan department, Rose served as security manager for the Supreme Court of Ohio. He also worked as a police officer in Delaware, Ohio, for 16 years and earned a bachelor's degree from Ashland University.
