Man charged after overdose
One man has been charged after a reported heroin overdose at his residence on Tuesday.
Bowling Green Police report that they were called to the 400 block of South Maple Street at 4:10 p.m. after a family member found John Rae, 37, unconscious in a bathroom. Evidence of heroin usage was found with him.
Rae was taken to Wood County Hospital by Bowling Green Fire/EMS, where he was treated.
He was subsequently arrested on a charge of possessing drug abuse instruments and taken to jail.

Drug arrest on
PERRYSBURG - One man was arrested on drug charges early Monday morning on Interstate 75.
According to the Bowling Green Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol, at 2:49 a.m. troopers stopped a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer, with Kentucky registration, for a vehicle defect on Interstate 75, near milepost 199.
During a consent pat-down for weapons of the driver, a baggie containing 353 Oxycodone pills and 55 Ecstasy pills, worth approximately $9,000, fell from the driver's pants. The driver, Frank Jolliff, 24, of Ashland, Ky., was incarcerated in the Wood County Jail and charged with possession and trafficking in drugs, both second-degree felonies.
Wood County Clerk of Courts, Cindy A. Hofner, has received a policy update from the U.S. Department of State in regards to requirements for applying for U.S. Passports.
The U.S. Department of State is requiring all passport applicants now must provide a photocopy of certain documents submitted as evidence of U.S. citizenship, in addition to the original or certified copy currently required." All applicants submitting U.S. birth certificates; certificates of naturalization/citizenship; and Consular Reports of Birth are subject to the new requirement.
Any applicant submitting a prior issued U.S. Passport or secondary evidence of U.S. citizenship will not need to provide photocopies of these documents.
Acceptance Agents are not required to make these photocopies for the applicants.
