Sex offense in Fostoria
FOSTORIA - A sex offense involving two teenagers in the city was reported Friday.
According to the Wood County Sheriff's Office, the incident, which reportedly occurred Thursday, involved a 17-year-old girl and an 18-year-old man.
Wood Lane levy presentation in Tontogany
TONTOGANY - Melanie Stretchbery, superintendent of Wood Lane, will host a speaking engagement Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Otsego High School auditorium.
She will be presentation information on the 2013 Wood Lane levy request.
Man robbed, beaten in BG
A man was reportedly robbed and beaten during an incident early Saturday in the city.
Bowling Green Police report they were advised of the incident, which took place in the 700 block of Second Street, just before 4 a.m.
The victim was found in a yard in the area and reported he had accepted a ride from two males, who then beat him and stole his wallet, which contained his ID and about $280 in cash.
He was taken to Wood County Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Bread and Bagels Day in Fostoria
FOSTORIA - Families are getting help stretching their food budget dollars from First Step Healthy Family Resource Center. The center is hosting a "Bread and Bagels Day" 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Individuals are asked to bring their own grocery bag to fill and to arrive early as supplies are limited.

One-car crash injures driver
One person was injured in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday on Sand Ridge Road near the city.
The Wood County Sheriff's Office reports that at 2:05 a.m. Justin Rife, Weston, was westbound on Sand Ridge when he swerved to avoid a deer.
Rife lost control of his vehicle, drove off the south side of the road, and struck a guard rail and a ditch.
He sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was taken to Wood County Hospital by Weston EMS.
He was cited for failure to control.
