Food giveaway Friday in BG
The monthly government food distribution will be Friday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 1526 E. Wooster St., Bowling Green.
Man robbed near Clough St.
A man was reportedly robbed near Clough Street Tuesday evening.
Bowling Green Police Chief Brad Connor said this morning that the Police Division was advised of the incident at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, but the robbery allegedly occurred between 7 and 8 p.m. Tuesday.
At that time, a man said that he was walking on the railroad tracks near Clough Street, when he was approached by a male who had his hand in his pocket and demanded money.
The victim turned over the money to the robber, who then fled on foot.
The suspect was described as being 5'8" in height, weighing between 165 and 200 pounds, wearing jean shorts, a gray hooded sweatshirt with the word "Moss" on the front, and a white nylon mask which covered the top of his head and eyes.
Luckey Legion hosts euchre tournament
LUCKEY - Euchre tournaments return to the Luckey American Legion Hall on Saturday.
Food and registration start at 6 p.m. Registration fee is $5.
The tournament begins at 7.
Individual players 18 and older are invited. This is a BYOB event. Concessions and soft drinks will be available to purchase.
Proceeds benefit the programs of the American Legion and Auxiliary and the upkeep of the post home, located at 335 Park Dr.
Join PHS alumni band
PERRYSBURG - Perrysburg Schools is inviting alumni to join the 2013 Alumni Band, which will take place on Friday. Rehearsal will take place from 4:30 to 5 p.m. and the performance will be at halftime around 8p.m.
Candidates file for Rossford Council seats
Six candidates have file for four seats on the Rossford City Council.
The field includes three incumbents - Chuck Duricek, Jerry Staczek, and Caroline Zuchowski-Eckel.
Former police chief and former council member Dennis Foy has filed, as has Robert Densic and Daniel J. Wagner.
