BG home catches fire; no injuries
No injuries were reported after a house fire on McKinley Drive early this morning.
Bowling Green firefighters responded to the residence at 722 McKinley Drive after they were informed of the blaze around 3:30 a.m.
The fire started as the result of a charcoal grill left close to the house, which caught the exterior wall of an enclosed patio room on fire, said Chief Stephen Meredith.
Damage was limited to the exterior wall of the room and portions of the interior. The residence remains habitable, and no financial estimate of damage was available.
The occupant of the residence was able to escape without injury.
Fire crews went back into service around 5:30 a.m., but one truck and several firefighters were left at the property as a firewatch.

Hollywood Casino fined $30,000
The operator of one of Ohio's four casinos has agreed to settle a fine with the state over a handful of violations.
Ohio's Casino Control Commission says Hollywood Casino Toledo isn't fighting the violations and has agreed to pay a $30,000 fine.
According to a settlement agreement document provided by the OCCC, the fine stems from violations filed on June 24 that say the casino operated a blackjack table in an area without video surveillance and used slot machines that had not been verified by the commission.
Hollywood officials aren't commenting on the fine. The settlement cited a July 16 letter from the casino's owner that the issues have been fixed at the site.
