Chicken meeting planned Sept. 5
The Bowling Green Planning Commission subcommittee studying a zoning change to allow egg-laying chickens in residential districts will meet Sept. 5.
The meeting will follow the regular BG Planning Commission meeting that begins at 7 p.m. in the City Administrative Services Building, 304 N. Church St.
ADAMHS director Kiwanis speaker
The new executive director of the Wood County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board will speak to the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club at noon Thursday at Stone Ridge Golf Club.
Tom Clemons, who became the ADAMHS executive Ddrector last month after serving as the associate director for 15 years, will share the new challenges for local behavioral healthcare and discuss the implications of recent state and federal mandates and best practice approaches.
Clemons has a bachelor's degree in psychology from Ohio Wesleyan and received his master's degree in clinical psychology from Bowling Green State University in 1983.
HOPE group meets Wed.
The HOPE Survivor Group will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Conneaut Avenue in Bowling Green.

Seven groups will sponsor a 200 Lives to Save Mega Adoption campaign Saturday and Sunday at the Pet Smart in Rossford (U.S. 20).
Hours are noon to 5 p.m. both days.
Taking part are the Toledo Area Humane Society, Lucas County Dog Warden, Lucas County Pet Crew, Ohio Great Dane Rescue, Ohio Small Dog Rescue, Planned Pethood, Inc. and the Wood County Humane Society.
