Health board meets Wed.
The Wood County Board of Health will hold a special meeting Wednesday at 6 :30 p.m. in the Health District Board Room, 1840 E. Gypsy Lane Road.
The meeting is being held because the board was unable to muster a quorum for the regular meeting last Thursday.
Driver crashes into house
CUSTAR – One woman was injured after she struck a residence with her vehicle Monday morning outside the village.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 7:50 a.m. Deborah McGill, Dennison, was westbound on Ohio 281 when she fell asleep and crossed the center line, driving off the south side of the road.
She then struck a small culvert and then rolled over, striking a residence in the 23000 block of Route 281.
Information on whether the home was occupied at the time, or the extent of the damage, was not available at press time.
McGill sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was taken to Wood County Hospital by Weston EMS.
She was cited for reasonable control.
Planning Commission sets hearing
Bowling Green’s Planning Commission has scheduled a pair of public hearings for its Sept. 4 meeting.
One will cover an S-district site plan for a 30-foot by 50-foot garage at Falcon Pointe, 912 Klotz Road.
The second hearing will be on a proposed zoning code amendment that would allow the Zoning Board of Appeals to grant variances for driveways.
The commission will meet at 7 p.m. in the City Administrative Services Building, 304 N. Church St.
