Book fair Thurs. at Ridge School
The annual free book fair for Ridge Elementary students will be held Thursday in the Ridge School Cafeteria from 3 to 5 p.m.  
This project is funded through community donations and a grant from the BG Schools Foundation.

W. Wooster lane closed Thursday
The westbound lane of West Wooster Street between North Church and North Grove streets will be closed to through traffic Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the removal of a large tree.

BG zoning cuts August meeting
The Aug. 8 meeting of the Bowling Green Zoning Board of Appeals has been cancelled.
The next scheduled meeting will be Sept. 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Administrative Services Building, 304 N. Church St.

Food distribution Friday in BG
The monthly Bowling Green food distribution and Senior food Box will be Friday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 1526 E. Wooster St.

E-Learning next for BG Rotary
The Bowling Green Rotary Club will hear about E-Learning Initiatives at its Thursday meeting.
Eastwood Superintendent Brent Welker will present the program at 11:40 a.m. at the Bowling Green Rotary Club.

Portage trustees change meeting
PORTAGE - Portage Township Trustees have changed their August meeting to Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the township hall corner of Huffman and Mermill Roads.

G. Rapids sales
The correct dates for the Grand Rapids Community Garage Sale are Aug. 10-11. Signup deadline is Aug. 8.
