Northwood has two drug arrests
NORTHWOOD - Two drug-related incidents were reported in Northwood as a result of traffic stops this week.
Police report that at 10:35 a.m. Tuesday, a vehicle driven by Nikita Smith Jr., 23, Toledo, was stopped for speeding in the 2100 block of Tracy Road. Identifiers were noted and Toledo Police brought their canine unit to the scene.
After a search, the dog allegedly found a marijuana joint, and a pill bottle containing loose marijuana in the center console of the vehicle.
Smith was issued a citation for drug possession.
On Wednesday, at the Wales Road overpass of Interstate 75, a vehicle driven by Jason Bogdanski, 39, Perrysburg, was stopped for not displaying a front license plate. It was found that Bogdanski was driving under suspension.
During an inventory of the vehicle, a glass crack pipe was reportedly found in the map pocket of the driver's side door.
Bodganski was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as no front plate, fictitious plates, and no operator's license.

Lunch in Park Friday in BG
Lunch in the Park Friday will feature food from Pagliai's available for purchase from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  at City Park's Martin and Kiwanis Shelters.
There will be a live performance by Spittin' Image.

Health Board committees meet tonight
The Personnel and Finance committees of the Wood County Board of Health will meet today at 6 p.m. in the health department building, 1840 E. Gypsy Lane Road.

Simmons Road closes Monday
LIME CITY - Beginning on Monday, Simmons Road will be closed to through traffic between Ohio 795 and Ford Road.
The closure is due to work being done on the Ohio Turnpike.

Ohio 51 & 579 signal working
The Ohio Department of Transportation District Two reports the traffic signal at Ohio 51 and Ohio 579 in northeast Wood County has been repaired an is now working properly.
