Two children hurt in Tuesday crash
RISINGSUN - Two young children were taken to Wood County Hospital following a crash just west of the village Tuesday.
The Wood County Sheriff's Office reports that at 10:20 a.m. Kenneth Schroeder, 32, West Millgrove, was eastbound on Bays Road when Miranda Rife, 17, Fostoria, northbound on Bradner Road, entered the Bays Road intersection and struck Schroeder's vehicle in the passenger side.
Schroeder's two passengers, Emalie Schroeder, 8, and Isabelle Schroeder, 4, both of West Millgrove, reported possible injuries and were taken to the hospital by Bradner EMS.
Rife was cited for right of way at a stop sign.
Solicitors cited in door-to-door sale
Five men were cited, and one was arrested, in connection to soliciting without a permit incidents in the city Sunday.
Bowling Green Police received reports of men in the 1000 blocks Rosewood Drive, Clark Street, and Conneaut Avenue who were reportedly selling magazine subscriptions. On Clark, one of the men reportedly spat on a resident's vehicle after they said they were not interested.
The men were located at Lafayette Boulevard and Savoie Avenue.
William Marcus II, 19, Shady Point, Okla., was arrested for criminal trespass and lodged in the Wood County Jail. He was also cited for disorderly conduct/soliciting without a permit.
Also cited for soliciting without a permit were Rocky Bess, 19, Queen Creek, Ariz.; Joseph Bias, 29, Mansfield; Connor Emerson, 21, Labadie, Mo.; Cody Navarrete, 20, Gold Bar, Wash.; and Darron Wren, 24, Ormond Beach, Fla.
Geology lecture Thurs. at 4 p.m.
"The Geological Structure of Wood County" will be the topic of a presentation by Dr. Robert Vincent Thursday at 4 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, 304 N. Church St.
Vincent, retired from the geology faculty at Bowling Green State University, will explain the geologic composition of the land in Bowling Green and Wood County.
