Marijuana, money seized on turnpike worth millions
MILLBURY – Six men are facing felony drug charges after the Ohio Highway Patrol seized 907 pounds of marijuana, worth more than $4.1 million, and $13,908 in currency during two related traffic stops Wednesday in Wood County.
A trooper working the Ohio Turnpike saw a rented 2014 Subaru Outback and motor home following another vehicle too closely.
Arrested were Frankie Layz, 22, and William Luciano Jr., 33, both of Rochester, NY, who were in the Subaru; and motor home occupants Justin Gould, 27, Rochester; Jimmy Pross Jr., 35, Charlotte, NC; and Jose Manzanares, 36, Houston, Texas.
All were taken to Wood County Jail and charged with possession of marijuana and trafficking in marijuana, money laundering, and possession of criminal tools.

Jugglers take to the street in Friday parade
The International Jugglers Festival Parade is Friday at 5 p.m. with the parade route starting from the Perry Field House down Merry Street to Thurston Avenue to Court Street ending at North Main Street.
Immediately following, the Buskers Competition will start downtown at the Flower Basket lot, the Huntington Bank lot and the Huntington Courtyard.

Weston teen arrested for auto theft
A Weston man was arrested Monday in connection to stealing a van in the city.
According to Bowling Green Police, the van was reported taken from the 100 block of Gorrell Avenue sometime after 6 p.m. on Sunday. The van, with a ladder and ladder rack on top, was valued at $1,000.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office later reported stopping the van in the county Sunday night. It was being driven by a juvenile, with Dylan Hope, 19, Weston, a passenger.
The van was later located in the 20000 block of Oak Street, Weston, by the sheriff’s office. Two bicycles, also reportedly stolen from the 100 block of Gorrell, were recovered with the van.
Hope was arrested for theft. Charges were also prepared for the juvenile driver.
