Missing teen found in Toledo
WESTON - A missing 15-year-old village female was found safe and brought back to Wood County Thursday.
The Wood County Sheriff's office said Tuesday that Maria Ayala was found Thursday night in Toledo. She was subsequently taken to the juvenile detention center, and later released.
Ayala had not been seen since 11 p.m. on July 3, and was entered into the National Crime Information Center database as missing.
Ayala reportedly had left with her boyfriend, a 17-year-old male who was charged by Toledo Police with obstruction in relation to the incident.
Free legal clinic offered
A free legal clinic will be held Thursday at Bowling Green Alliance Church from 5 to 7 p.m. at 1161 Napoleon Road.
Anyone with a legal issue may come to the clinic and speak to an attorney who will provide advice.
Lunch in the Park Friday
Lunch in the Park in Bowling Green will be Friday.
Food from A Taste of Amish Deli will be available for purchase from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at City Park's Martin and Kiwanis Shelters. There will be a live performance by Jeff Tucker throughout the lunch.
Five Point Rd. closed for a week
A portion of Five Point Road will be closed beginning next week.
The section, between Ohio 25 and Scheider Road, will be closed for construction of a left turn lane at Route 25. This closure is tentatively scheduled to begin Monday and last one week. All work is weather dependent.
Deputy cited after crash
BRADNER - A Wood County Sheriff's deputy was cited Saturday after he reportedly struck a vehicle he was attempting to pull over on U.S. 6, just east of Ohio 199.
A crash report states that Dep. Dustin Kindle, Bowling Green, was westbound in his marked cruiser when he attempted to pull over a vehicle driven by Marc Charles, also of Bowling Green. Kindle struck the rear of Charles' vehicle as the two vehicles pulled off the side of the road.
Kindle was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
