Troy Township to test siren
LUCKEY - Troy Township Fire Department has scheduled a special siren test for 10 a.m. Saturday.

Food pantry offered Monday
MILLBURY - The next mobile food pantry will be Monday at the Lake Township Fire Station #1, located at 4505 Walbridge Road.
The pantry will be open from 5 until 7 p.m. First-time users will be required to bring a proof of residency and/or picture ID.
Food for Thought provides the choice pantry and the Firebelles, Ladies Auxiliary for Station1 sponsors it for residents of Lake Township, including Walbridge and Millbury.
Representatives from Hannah's Socks and from ABLE will be there also.
A free meal will be served to those who come to use pantry from 4 to 6 p.m.

Appelhans named to state board
Kent J. Appelhans of Pemberville has been appointed Gov. John R. Kasich to the State Board of Emergency Medical, Fire and Transportation Services for terms beginning July 9, 2013, and ending Nov. 12, 2014.
He is a firefighter and paramedic for the Pemberville Fire Department and is the director for LifeStar Ambulance for Mercy Health Partners
Appelhans also previously served on the Ohio Medical Transportation Board.

Boards meet next week
The Rossford Board of Education will meet Monday at 6 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
The agenda includes a resolution declaring the necessity of a bond issue for new facilities.
The Bowling Green Board of Education will hold its meeting on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Bowling Green Performing Arts Center Lobby. There will be an open forum community meeting prior to the board meeting at 5 p.m. to discuss pay to participate plans.
Both meetings are open to the public.

Brown offers online survey
State Representative Tim Brown (R-Bowling Green) has set up an online legislative survey in an effort to gain feedback from the residents of the 3rd Ohio House District regarding a variety of state issues. The survey can be accessed at http://tinyurl.com/RepTimBrownSurvey.
The 3rd District includes all of Wood County.
