School boards meet Monday
The Elmwood and Lakota boards of education will hold tmeetings Monday.
Elmwood will meet at 7 p.m. in the school auditeria.
Lakota will meet at 7 p.m. in the staff dining room.
Civil Service meets Monday
Bowling Green's Civil Service Commission will meet at 3 p.m. Monday
The meeting will be held in the personnel director's office, City Administrative Services Building, 304 North Church St. The purpose is to certify a list of the candidates eligible for consideration for hire as entry-level police officer and any other classified positions being filled within the city.
The commission will also act on voluntary waivers received from candidates who are withdrawing from the hiring process. The commission will also address any requests to modify, add or abolish job descriptions.
Crash injures one on I-75
LIME CITY - One person was injured in a crash on Interstate 75 near milepost 195 in Perrysburg Township Monday.
Township police report that at 2:47 p.m. Alok Karnik, Mason, was southbound on I-75 when he lost control of his vehicle.
He struck a guardrail on the right side of the road, and then crossed over two lanes and struck a concrete divider.
Karnik was treated at the scene for possible injuries and taken to St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee, by Perrysburg Township EMS.
Two charged with theft at Kohl's
LIME CITY - Two area residents were arrested following a recent theft at Kohl's in Perrysburg Township on June 25.
Perrysburg Township Police were alerted to the incident just before 3:30 p.m. at the store, located at 10323 Fremont Pike.
The two male suspects, identified as Luke Partin, 27, Oregon, and Adam Powell, 27, Northwood, were observed leaving the store in a blue four-door turning west onto Fremont Pike. A police officer spotted the vehicle and stopped it at Holiday Lane and Fremont Pike.
Partin was charged with petty theft and complicity, and Powell was charged with petty theft.

‘No Frack’ benefit at Howard’s
A “No Frack BG Benefit” with live music will be held at Howard’s Club H, 210 N. Main St., on Monday.
Doors open at 9 p.m. with music by Ginger and the Snaps starting at 10 p.m.
Sign the petition to keep fracking out of Bowling Green, volunteer to help collect signatures and meet activists from around Ohio.
No Frack BG is collecting signatures for a petition to put a charter amendment on the fall ballot.
