No Sentinel on July 4 holiday
There will be no issue of the Sentinel-Tribune Thursday due to the Independence Day holiday.
Today's issue contains comics and features for two days.

'Senior Box' Friday in BG
First United Methodist Church will have its "Senior Box" food distribution Friday at 10 a.m. in the church parking lot at 1526 E. Wooster St.
There will also be a free food distribution at the church July 12 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Perrysburg seeks deputy police chief
PERRYSBURG - The city is seeking a new deputy police chief.
The position has been empty since the end of April, when former Dep. Chief Mike Gilmore stepped down.
He started in a newly-created deputy chief position with Perrysburg Township Police on Monday.
The Perrysburg position offers a salary range of between $67,860 to $85,196 depending on experience. Applications are due July 31.

BG BPU cancels Monday meeting
Bowling Green's Board of Public Utilities has canceled its meeting scheduled for Monday due to a lack of business to transact.
The next scheduled meeting is July 22 at 5 p.m. in the City Administrative Services Building, 304 N. Church St.

Thefts reported in the county
Three theft incidents were reported in Wood County this past weekend.
On Friday, in the 5000 block of Sugar Ridge Road, Pemberville, a residence was reported to have been broken into, and a coin collection was taken.
The incident was reported at 5:37 p.m.
The theft of a tablet computer was reported in the 20000 block of Oak Street, Weston, also on Friday.
A further theft was also reported Sunday after 10:30 a.m. in the 11000 block of Sugar Ridge Road, Bowling Green.

Friday - Showers and thunderstorms likely all day Friday. Highs in the lower 80s and lows in the upper 60s. Chance of rain 60 percent during the day and 40 percent overnight.
