Deadline for community announcements
With the Sentinel-Tribune adding a Community page, the deadline for community announcements, such as Friday and Sunday meals, will need to be submitted by noon Wednesday.
The page will run every Thursday except in the case of a holiday, like July 4.
This weekend's events should be submitted by noon Tuesday as the page will appear Friday.

Crash injures one near Stony Ridge
STONY RIDGE - One woman was injured in a Saturday accident at U.S. 20 and Ohio 163.
The Wood County Sheriff's Office reports that at 12:50 p.m., Sheila Brogan, Toledo, was stopped eastbound on Route 20 to turn onto Route 163 when she was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Damien Dennis, Pemberville.
Brogan sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was taken to St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, by Troy Township EMS.
Dennis was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

School supply donations taken
The Salvation Army will have Tools for School donation boxes in several locations today through Aug. 9.
Donations of school supplies will be accepted at Kroger, Walgreens, Ben Franklin, Big Lots and St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
Supplies are for students in all grades.

BG considers police candidates
Bowling Green's Civil Service Commission will meet Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the Personnel Director's office within the Administrative Services Building, 304 N. Church St.
The commission will take all actions necessary to certify a list of names of the candidates eligible for consideration for hire to the classification of entry-level police officer.
The commission also will act on voluntary waivers received from candidates withdrawing from the hiring process.
