Death under investigation in Northwood
NORTHWOOD – Police here confirmed late Friday afternoon they are investigating a death at America’s Best
Value Inn & Suites. The hotel is located at 2426 Oregon Road
No other details were available.
A dispatcher said Friday evening that family members were still being consulted and information would not
be released until today at the earliest.
New rate for Columbia Gas customers
Bowling Green residents who are current customers of Columbia Gas of Ohio and participate in the Bowling
Green Natural Gas Aggregation Program will have a new fixed rate for the natural gas supplier portion of
their bill. The gas supplier will remain IGS Energy and the new fixed rate will be $0.633 per CCF.
The new rate will be effective in July through the October, 2014, billing cycle.
Customers should note that the fixed rate does not include applicable taxes and Columbia Gas of Ohio
charges.

BG zoning board meets July 9
The Bowling Green Zoning Board of Appeals will next meet July 9.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the City Administrative Services Building, 304 N. Church St.
Montogomery Twp. Trustees change Tuesday meeting
BRADNER – The regular Montgomery Township Trustees meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday has been
moved to Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the township building located at 1950 Mermill Road.
Trustees-council hold joint meeting in Grand Rapids
GRAND RAPIDS – Grand Rapids Township Trustees will meet with village council on July 14 at 6:30 p.m. to
discuss the possible Sycamore Road project.
The meeting will be held in the fire station.

BG woman hurt in Wednesday crash in Grand Rapids
GRAND RAPIDS — One woman was injured in a crash at Wapakoneta Road and West Second Street in the village
on Wednesday.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 5:41 p.m. Gregory Flowers, Custar, was southbound and
stopped at the stop sign on Wapakoneta Road.
He had reportedly stopped before Laralee Roberts, Bowling Green, who was westbound on West Second Street,
and also stopped at that stop sign.
Flowers then proceeded south on Wapakoneta Road; Roberts also proceeded forward, and struck Flowers’
vehicle.
Roberts sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital, Maumee, by Northwest
Wood EMS.
She was cited for right-of-way at a stop sign.
