Tires stolen from Stony Ridge business
STONY RIDGE – Thousands of dollars in tires were reported stolen from a business on Thursday.
The theft of 12 tires, worth an estimated $6,000, was reported at Schrader Tire, located in the 3000
block of Genoa Road.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office was told that the theft occurred sometime over the weekend.
Health board discusses job description
The Wood County Board of Health will hold a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday to discuss the job
description of the health commissioner, "a co-acting health commissioner" and accreditation.
The meeting will be in the board room of the Wood County Health District.
One hurt in Rt. 281 crash
CUSTAR – One woman was injured Tuesday in a crash on Ohio 281.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 3:58 p.m. Diane McKenna, Norwalk, was slowing in the
20000 block of Route 281 to turn into a private drive when her vehicle was struck from behind by Penny
Vantine, Deshler.
Vantine sustained incapacitating injuries and was taken to Wood County Hospital by Weston EMS.
She was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
Weston board moves July meeting date
WESTON – The Weston Cemetery Board of Trustees meeting originally scheduled for July 3 has been
rescheduled due to the holiday.
The next meeting will be held July 10 at 6 p.m. in the Village Hall.
