E. Washington closed today, Friday in BG
East Washington Street from South Prospect to South Main Street will be closed today and Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for contractor work in the area.
Access to local businesses and parking lots will be maintained. Through traffic will not be permitted.

Rossford board meets Friday
ROSSFORD - The Board of Education will meet Friday at 5 p.m. in the Bulldog Center to receive the final recommendations of its Master Plan Steering Committee.
The committee will present the results of its survey including which of the building options respondents favored, as well as respondents' preference for how to finance the project.

Business offer expires Friday
The BG Convention and Visitors Bureau's "Juggler Friendly Zone" business offer to participate in the discount program for the International Jugglers Festival expires Friday.

Reservations taken for citizen police academy
The Wood County Sheriff's Office is currently taking reservations for its Citizen's Police Academy program.
The program will meet Thursday evenings from Sept. 12 through Nov. 14 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Class size is limited. Attendees will learn about the operations of the Sheriff's Office and the duties of the Office of Sheriff.
