Tontogany Fest meets Wed.
TONTOGANY - The Tontogany Festival Committee will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Doc's.

School items auctioned Wed.
GRAND RAPIDS - Otsego Schools will be auctioning all contents of Grand Rapids Elementary on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

I-280 road work planned
Effective Wednesday and Thursday, northbound I-280 between Walbridge Road and Woodville Road will be reduced to one lane for bridge deck repair. Additional lane restrictions for resurfacing will be announced.
Project completion date is October 2014. All work is weather permitting.

Cash registers taken in BG
On June 19, the cash register and several bottles of liquor were reported stolen from Campus Quarters, 1414 E. Wooster St.
An automatic alarm was triggered 5:40 a.m. Police responded and found an open door, but found nothing amiss. Police contacted the keyholder, who advised he couldn't make it to the business at that time. The business was secured.
At 3:28 p.m., the keyholder called police to report the theft.
On June 21, a cash register was reported stolen from Shoe Sensation, 1111 S. Main St. It appears someone broke in through the back door overnight. The theft was discovered when the store opened.
Both cases are still under investigation.

Book sale at Way Library
PERRYSBURG - The Way Public Library Foundation and Friends will hold a used book sale on Thursday from 2 until 6 p.m. Thousands of items will be offered, including new and used books, DVDs and music CDs, and audiobooks.
Prices are $15 for a large bag of books, $5 for a small bag, as well as individually priced items.
