Parks board meets Tuesday
The next monthly meeting of the Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Board, scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m., will be held at Needle Hall in City Park.

Elmwood, Lakota set special mtgs.
The Elmwood Board of Education will meet Monday at 7 p.m. to vote on putting up for renewal in November two income taxes.
The board voted on the action at the regular meeting Monday, but only three board members were present. The board needs at least 4 votes to put a tax issue on the ballot.
The meeting will start at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.
The Lakota Board of Education will meet Monday at 7 p.m. to discuss personnel. The meeting will be in the staff dining room.

Traffic Commission meeting canceled
Wednesday's Bowling Green Traffic Commission has been canceled for lack of an agenda.

Holiday celebrated at Fort Meigs
PERRYSBURG - Experience music, games, musket and cannon firings at Fort Meigs celebrates Independence Day on July 4.
Soldiers and civilians from the War of 1812 will provide hands-on activities and weapons demonstrations. A recreation of the fort's original 1813 Independence Day celebration will be held at 2 p.m. War of 1812 soldiers will fire the cannons 18 times.
The site will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Event admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, and $4 for children (6 to 18 years). Ohio Historical Society members and children ages 5 and under are free.

Dig into a forest for reading program
Join staff from the Wood County District Public Library and Bowling Green Parks and Recreation on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Wintergarden Park for stories and activities all about our forest dirt diggers.
