Film crew in Bowling Green
A Los Angeles production company will be filming a commercial in Bowling Green today and Friday.
The commercial, for American Express, is to focus on the company's credit card reader device.
Locations in the downtown area, and at LifeFormations, 2029 Wood-Bridge Blvd., are to be filmed.
Parking areas along East Wooster Street and South Prospect are being utilized by the film crew.

McEwen leaving library board
After 18 years of service, Scott McEwen is stepping down from the Wood County District Library Board.
McEwen's record of service was recognized at the board's regular meeting on Tuesday.
"I've enjoyed this experience immensely, I really have," said McEwen. "It's been a great education for me, and a fun time."
He began his tenure on the board in 1995, serving as president from 2003 to 2008, overseeing the renovation of the library, acquisition of its bookmobile, and other projects.

Lunch in the Park Friday
The City of Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department, along with title sponsor First Federal Bank and the Montessori School of Bowling Green, will host Lunch in the Park Friday.
Food from South Side 6 will be available for purchase from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at City Park's Martin and Kiwanis shelters.
Gene Parker Trio will provide music.

VFW hosts Friday meal
VFW Post No. 1148, located at 719 S. Main St. in Bowling Green, will serve a choice of fish or shrimp dinner Friday from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
The meal also will include baked beans, french fries, cole slaw and a roll.

Weston Legion serves BBQ
WESTON  - Weston American Legion Post 409 will serve a barbecue chicken lunch Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A donation of $8 is requested.
Carryouts are available.

Monday movies at county library
Families, come to the Wood County District Public Library Children's Place every Monday this summer at 10:30 a.m. for popcorn and a Monday Morning Movie program as part of the Summer Reading Program, "DIG into Reading." Come on Monday for a movie about nature, a fox, and an unlikely friendship.
