Rock the Docks returns to Perrysburg
PERRYSBURG - Downtown Perrysburg, Inc. will again present Rock the Docks Saturday beginning at 7 p.m.
This event will feature live music by The Skoobie Snaks, beverages, food, and dancing, along the riverfront at the boat docks, next to the Perrysburg Boat Club.
Funds generated help to provide a number of events in the downtown area.
Admission is $5 and attendees must be 21 or older.

Man arrested for biting police officer
PERRYSBURG - A city man was arrested Wednesday after he reportedly bit a police officer.
Officers were called to a restaurant in the 200 block of Louisiana Avenue on the report of a male subject acting disorderly.
During the incident, Officer Steven Stanton sustained a bite to his left middle finger. He was taken to St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee, where he was treated and released.
Timothy Kazmaier, 24, Perrysburg, was subsequently arrested on felony assault charges.
A hearing in the case is set for June 18.

Mail thefts in Perrysburg
PERRYSBURG - Police have reported a string mail thefts occurring in the 27000 and 28000 blocks of White Road, just northeast of the city.
The first incident was reported in the 28000 block of White Road on June 7. Four more mail theft incidents were additionally reported at different residences that day in that block.
Two further incidents at separate homes were reported in the 27000 block on June 8.
The cases, which apparently involved juveniles, have been turned over to the prosecutor.

VFW hosts karaoke
VFW Post 1148, 719 S. Main St., will host a karaoke night Saturday from 8 to midnight.

Port Authority meets Monday
The regular meeting of the Wood County Port Authority will be Monday at 7:30 a.m. at the Northwestern Water and Sewer offices at 12560 Middleton Pike, Bowling Green.

On Tuesday, partly cloudy with a 30-percent chance of showers. Highs in the upper 70s.
