Mouse Paint for babies and toddlers
Babies and toddlers with parents and caregivers are invited to the Children’s Place of the Wood County
District Public Library for some color mixing and finger painting on Saturday at 10 a.m. The Children’s
Place will share the picture book, "Mouse Paint," and lots of suggestions for nurturing your
child’s early literacy development.
Every family will receive a gift book from this Every Child Ready to Read @ Your Library program.
Homeless man arrested in BG for burglary
A man who is homeless remained incarcerated this morning after his arrest for burglary in Bowling Green
on Wednesday.
Kelvin N. Mwangi, 21, who was listed as being a homeless Bowling Green resident, was arrested on a
misdemeanor charge of burglary – trespass in a habitation and is being held on $20,000 bond, 10 percent
allowed in the Wood County jail.
The incident was reported Wednesday just after 8 p.m. in the 200 block of North Enterprise Street.
Mwangi’s next court appearance is scheduled for Monday.
One hurt in BG crash
One person was transported from the scene after a crash at Napoleon Road and Campbell Hill Road
Wednesday.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 4:35 p.m. Melody Morris, Bowling Green, was eastbound on
Napoleon Road, approaching the Campbell Hill Road intersection, when she failed to yield the
right-of-way to an oncoming vehicle driven by Amanda Ankney, BG.
Morris turned left and was struck by Ankney’s vehicle in the intersection.
Ankney reported possible injuries and was taken from the scene. The crash report did not indicate what
kind of vehicle was used, or if she was taken to a hospital.
Morris was cited for failure to yield.
