Fishing Derby in Perrysburg
PERRYSBURG - The annual Fishing Derby will be held Saturday at the large pond at Three Meadows Park, 400 Three Meadows Drive, off U.S. 20.
Fishing will take place form 8 to 11:30 a.m.
The rain date is June 15.
Needle Hall renovation celebrated
Bowling Green's Parks and Recreation Department is planning a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Needle Hall Renovation Project Sunday at 6 p.m. in City Park.
Mayor Dick Edwards will cut the ribbon and the first Concert in the Park will take place at 7 p.m with the BG Area Community Band performing.
No injuries in Thursday rollover crash
FOSTORIA - The Wood County Sheriff's Office handled a single-vehicle rollover crash Thursday morning at U.S. 23 and Switzer Road, north of the city on the Sandusky County line.
The crash occurred at 3:55 a.m., and the vehicle reportedly rolled over on the side of the road.
Bradner EMS was called to the scene. The driver and lone occupant refused medical attention.
Additional details are pending the completion of a crash report.
Swim lessons at G. Rapids pool
GRAND RAPIDS - Registration for the first session of swimming lessons at the Grand Rapids pool are now being accepted. The session runs June 17 through 28, with classes at 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.
The cost is $50 per child.

Northwood PD investigates two thefts
NORTHWOOD - More than $4,000 scrap metal was stolen from a business in the 200 block of East Andrus Road last week. The owner of the business reported that unknown suspects stole stainless steel gas station islands, as well as other scrap metal.
Also on May 30, a safe and cash were stolen from a residence in the city during a burglary.
Police report that the incident occurred during the overnight hours in the 200 block of Mary Avenue.
