Theater is Kiwanis topic
Bob Hastings will present a program on the Black Swamp Players to the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club at noon
on Thursday at Stone Ridge Golf Club. Hastings is a long-time member and director for the theatrical
group that was founded in 1968.
Rotary Club hears WWII history
Rotary Club of Bowling Green will meet Thursday at 11:40 a.m. at BG Country Club.
Elmer Girten will speak on the Battle of the Bulge.
Concert in the Park returns
Bowling Green Parks and Recreation will host the summer season’s first Concert in the Park on Sunday.
The BG Area Community Band will be performing at 7 p.m. on the Needle Hall Stage in City Park.

Child hit by car in Perrysburg
PERRYSBURG – A child on a bicycle was injured in a May 23 collision with a vehicle in the city.
Perrysburg Police report the incident occurred at 7:15 a.m. in the 1000 block of Louisiana Avenue.
According to the crash report, Sharon Jeffers, Perrysburg, was attempting a left turn from southbound
Louisiana Avenue into the driveway of the Perrysburg Post Office when she turned into the path of
12-year-old Richard Beebe, Perrysburg, who was bicycling northbound on the sidewalk.
Beebe, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to Toledo Hospital by Perrysburg Fire/EMS.
Jeffers was cited for right-of-way when turning left.
