Haskins committee meets tonight
HASKINS - Haskins Village Facilities and Grounds Committee will be meeting in the town hall tonight at 5 to discuss various topics.
Haskins Village also has a vacant council seat. Any village resident of one year or more interested in the seat should send a letter of interest to the clerk treasurer at P.O. Box 182, 100 N. Church St.

Mission trip is Kiwanis topic
Rev. Robert Ball will speak about his recent mission trip experience to the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club at noon on Thursday at Stone Ridge Golf Club.
Ball, the pastor at Rossford United Methodist Church and a former district superintendent for the United Methodist Church, led a mission team to the Sandy Hook, N.J., area to help rebuild from the devastating damage caused by Superstorm Sandy last October.

Sock hop Saturday in Walbridge
WALBRIDGE - A sock hop will be held Saturday at the Walbridge Center, formerly Walbridge Elementary, from 6 to 10 p.m.
There will be limbo, hula hoop and twist contests, a Chinese auction, car show and refreshments, including root beer floats. Music will be by disc jockey Dr. Moose.
Dress in '50s and '60s attire or casual. Walbridge Centennial memorabilia, including alumni books, with senior classes from Lake and Walbridge High Schools 1911-2012, will be for sale for $15. Also available will be Walbridge Centennial Cook Books, souvenir booklets, can kozies and T-shirts.
Proceeds benefit the Walbridge Centennial Committee.
On June 6, the Centennial Committee will sponsor a fund raiser at Bob Evans at Lemoyne and Woodville Roads (at I-280). Get a flyer at the Web site, www.walbridgecent.com, or at the Walbridge Library. Funds raised will be used toward the Loop Park event on July 4-6.

Legion serves baked steak
BRADNER - The Bradner American Legion will serve a baked steak lunch Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the post home, 209 Crocker St.
The cost is $7.
