Farmer's Market in Bowling Green
The Saturday Farmers' Market at Stimmel's is open now and will run until the end of November from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1220 W. Wooster St.
There will be annuals, perennials, shrubs, homegrown asparagus and rhubarb to start.
Many more seasonal local produce and farm raised beef will be added as it becomes available.

Offices close for holiday
All federal, state, county and city offices will be closed Monday for Memorial Day.
Also closed will be Bowling Green Municipal Court and Wood County District Public Library.
Owens Community College's Perrysburg Township and Findlay campuses, as well as the Arrowhead Park Learning Center in Maumee and the Learning Center at The Source in downtown Toledo, also will be closed on Monday.
Offices at Bowling Green State University will be closed.
Bowling Green's Board of Public Utilities will not meet Monday.

Perrysburg at odds over council seat
PERRYSBURG - City Council will hold a special meeting Tuesday at 6 p.m. regarding a vacancy on council.
On Tuesday, council was deadlocked by a 3-3 vote over the appointment of Sara Weisenburger to the seat vacated by Councilwoman Maria Ermie late last month.
A Personnel Committee meeting scheduled for 5 p.m. that evening has been cancelled, and the Health, Sanitation and Public Utilities Committee meeting has been moved from 6 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Sex offense
in Perrysburg
PERRYSBURG - A sexual offense involving a juvenile was reported in Perrysburg Wednesday.
According to Perrysburg Police, a Lake Vue Drive resident indicated that his 12-year-old son was sent obscene material through his Facebook account.
The incident is under investigation. Additional details were not available due to the ongoing nature of the case.
