Street sweeping starts in Pemberville
PEMBERVILLE - Street sweeping will be done Monday. Residents are asked to please remove all parked cars from the streets.

Library's book talks for May
The Wood County District Public Library announces its book group calendar for the month of May:
• Monday at 7 p.m.: Monday Mysteries, led by Mary Callahan Boone and Doris Ann Norris, talks about "Mallory's Oracle" by Carol O'Connell.
• Thursday at 10:30 a.m.: Coffee Talk book group, led by Kristin Wetzel, discusses "The Hot Flash Club" by Nancy Thayer.
• May 28: the library's nonfiction group, Just the Facts, meets at 10:30 a.m. to discuss Walter Isaacson's "Steve Jobs."
All meetings are free and open to the public. They meet in the Reading Lounge Area on the second floor.

McDonald's night for animal shelter
The Wood County Humane Society is planning a McDonald's Night fundraiser at the East Wooster restaurant on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m., restaurant or drive through.
A portion of all sales will go to the WCHS.

Motorcycle safety month
LIME CITY - Wood County Safe Communities announced that May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month.
All motorists are reminded to safely share the road with motorcycles and to be more alert to help keep motorcyclists safe.
Motorcyclists are reminded to make themselves visible to other motorists.
