Bridge repairs on Ohio 25 set
RUDOLPH – Through Friday, shoulder restrictions are possible on northbound Ohio 25 between Mermill Road
and Greensburg Pike for bridge repair.
All work is weather permitting.
Get a free boat inspection
PERRYSBURG – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Watercraft is offering free boat safety
equipment inspections during national Safe Boating Week.
In Wood County, inspections will be offered May 19 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Maple Street Boat Ramp, Front
Street at Maple Street.
Taxicab board meets in BG
The Taxicab Board of Review will meet Monday at 11:15 a.m. in Bowling Green City Council Chambers, 304 N.
Church St., to discuss taxi driver applicants.
Road work closes Rt. 582
HASKINS – On Monday and Tuesday, Ohio 582, between Ohio 64 and Ohio 65. will be closed for resurfacing.

Literacy focus of WCDPL
program
The Children’s Place of the Wood County District Public Library is offering another monthly early
literacy workshop for parents and caregivers on Monday at 10 a.m.
Every Child Ready to Read is designed to help adults discover new and interesting ways to nurture reading
readiness. Children are welcome to attend with adults, but it is not necessary. Every family will

Lake Twp. brush pickup starts
MILLBURY – Spring bush pickup in Lake Township will begin next week.
Areas west of Interstate 280 will be collected Monday through May 16. Pickup for areas east of I-280 will
be May 19-23.
Brush needs to be in place by 7:30 a.m. the first day of the weeks of the area scheduled for pickup. This
is for chippable brush only. It must be stacked neatly and untangled.

Hear how stress affects health
The May meeting of the Panic and Anxiety Disorder Support Group will meet Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in
the conference room of the Medical Building at the Wood County Hospital, 970 W. Wooster St.
The topic will be “How Stress Affects Your Health.”
Refreshments will be provided. There is no fee.

Walk, eat lunch at City Park
The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department and the Wood County Health District are co-hosting a
lunch-time walk at City Park to celebrate National Employee Health and Fitness Day. This free event is
meant to encourage health and fitness activities for community members and local businesses.
Bring a sack lunch; beverages will be provided. Meet at the Martin & Kiwanis shelters anytime
between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Everyone who walks a mile around the park (two laps) will be entered into a raffle for prizes.
In the case of inclement weather the event will be moved to the community center.
Trophies are awarded to the small, medium and large companies with the most employees.
