Custar council meets Wed.
CUSTAR - Custar Village Council will have a special zoning meeting at the Custar American Legion Hall Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The purpose is to consider an amendment to the zoning code.
South Prospect closed Wed.
South Prospect Street between Wooster and Clough streets will be closed Wednesday to allow utility crews to work on water services in the block.
Weight loss is Rotary topic
The Bowling Green Rotary Club will welcome Dr. Peter Lalor to its meeting Thursday at the Bowling Green Country Club.
Lalor, of Wood County Hospital, will speak on the Center for Weight Loss Surgery.
The meeting starts at 11:30 a.m.
Cygnet hosts community garage sale
CYGNET - Cygnet will host its 31st annual Community Garage Sale Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The event is sponsored by the Cygnet Fire Department.
Raffle sales for first to use BG pool, waterpark
Bowling Green Parks and Recreation is offering the opportunity to be one of the first people down the water slide or the lazy river at the new city pool and waterpark this summer.
Raffle tickets are available for purchase at the community center. The drawing will be held May 31 at 11 a.m. at the Community Center to be one of the first 10 people down the slide or one of the first 10 people around the lazy river.
Tickets are $1 each or six tickets for $5. Proceeds will be put towards equipment purchases for the pool.

Lions Club raises $287
The Bowling Green Evening Lions Club raised $287 at the East Wooster McDonald's in March.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to help local families obtain eye exams and glasses, Thanks-giving meals, free pre-school vision screening, book bags and little league uniforms.
The local chapter of the International Lions Clubs also supports Ohio Eye Research, Pilot Dogs, Lions Disaster Relief and the NW Ohio Lions Eye Care Foundation.
