Nonfiction book group meets Tuesday
Just the Facts, Wood County District Public Library's nonfiction book group, will meet Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. to discuss "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" by Rebecca Skloot.
Led by Anne Render, the group meets in the library's second floor Reading Lounge.
Copies of the group's next selection, "Steve Jobs" by Walter Isaacson, will be available to check-out after the meeting.
This program is free and open to all.
Passes bar exam
Kyle Edward Wright, Pemberville, is the only Wood County resident listed Friday by the Ohio Supreme Court as having based the Ohio Bar Exam administered in late February.
Practically a Golf Tourney set
PERRYSBURG - The Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio will hold its annual Practically a Golf Tournament May 17 at Levis Commons at The Clock Tower. A shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. will begin the tournament.
This is a competitive 18-hole miniature golf tournament, where area businesses, organizations, or just friends are invited to enter a foursome and compete for prizes and a trophy.
Enter a foursome for $140 and get a T-shirt, goodie bag and a chance to win prizes.
Inspiration group to meet on Wed.
The Read for Inspiration book group meets Wednesda at the Wood County District Public Library.
The group, led by Deb Born, will discuss Philip Gulley's "Just Shy of Harmony."
Copies of the next discussion book, "The Half-Stitched Amish Quilting Club" by Wanda E. Brunstetter, will be available to check-out following the meeting.
Book signing slated today
Grand Rapids author Carole Sarkan will sign copies of her book, "And Candy Smiled," at today's Art Walk.
She will be in the Community Galley, formerly Squeakers, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Rossford woman injured
DUNBRIDGE - A Rossford woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday on Ohio 582 at Dunbridge Road.
The Wood County Sheriff's Office reports that at 9:30 a.m. Richard Lenix, Rossford, was southbound on Dunbridge Road, stopped at the Ohio 582 intersection then pulled into the intersection and struck a westbound vehicle driven by Forest Philo, Pemberville.
Lenix's passenger, Evelyn Lenix, Rossford, sustained incapacitating injuries and was taken to Wood County Hospital by Middleton Township EMS. Richard Lenix was cited for failure to yield.
Ohio 25 roadwork to begin
Starting Thursday through May, expect lane restrictions on Ohio 25, between Roachton Road and Interstate 475 for turn lane construction.
The left turn lane from Levis Commons Blvd. to northbound Ohio 25 will be one lane.
