Tax workshop tonight in BG
A Tax Strategy Workshop will be held tonight from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at BG Christian Academy, 1165 Haskins Road.
Educational topics will include strategies to minimize tax burden tor health care professionals, tax saving ideas for today's farmer, and solid strategies for basic annual tax planning.
The event is free of charge. Nothing will be sold or promoted.
Kitchen of Hope meal
PERRYSBURG - The Kitchen of Hope will be held on Friday at noon at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 E. Indiana Ave.
This free hot meal is intended to serve everyone who wishes to participate regardless of income. The only requirement is that you are a resident of Wood County.
The menu for will be chicken breast/rice casserole, peas, fruited Jello salad, rolls, and dessert.
Reservations are not required. A jar is available for donations. Personal hygiene products and books are also available for those who would like to take advantage of this service
Blood drive Fri.
A blood drive will be held Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Stadium View Apartments, 1700 Juniper Drive in Bowling Green.
VFW serves spaghetti
VFW Post 1148, 719 S. Main St. in Bowling Green, will hold a spaghetti dinner Friday from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
The dinner is open to the public.

Register for Bike for Sight
The Portage Lions Club will host a Bike for Sight May 4 on the Slippery Elm Trail.
Registration fee is $10 but register before Saturday and pay $8. Donate two or more pairs of glasses and an additional $2 will be refunded at registration time.

The bike ride will utilize the entire length of the trail. There are several distance options available ranging from 10 to 27 miles for casual and seasoned riders. Snacks and water will be provided along the route free of charge.
Riders under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Bike helmets are strongly recommended.
Registration will be open from 8 to 10 a.m. at both ends of the trail.
All monies raised will go towards local club projects to benefit the local communities, provide eye exams and eyeglasses to those in need, as well as help pay for eye surgeries for residents of Northwest Ohio and to fight preventable blindness worldwide.
