Conversation on aging is forum topic
Sterling House Bowling Green will be hosting a presentation titled "Starting the Conversation: How
to talk to your parents are aging, Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Sterling House, 121 N. Wintergarden Road.
RSVPs are appreciated and may be done so by calling 419-354-5300.
The program’s goal is to educate the audience about the aging process and how to partner with loved ones
on future decisions.
Infant in critical condition after crash
Four people were injured – one critically – in two separate weekend crashes handled by the Wood County
Sheriff’s Office.
On Sunday at 12:29 p.m. a crash occurred between vehicles driven by Devin Serrato, Bowling Green, and
Wesley Starkey, Weston, in the 15000 block of Sand Ridge Road. Both vehicles were reportedly southbound
at the time of the crash, but an incident report with full details was not complete this morning.
As the result of the crash, Serrato and one passenger, Samantha McDonald, Bowling Green, each sustained
incapacitating injuries and were taken to Wood County Hospital by Mid-County EMS and Bowling Green EMS,
respectively. Conditions were not available for either individual.
A second passenger, Lily Serrato, an infant, was taken by Life Flight to Mercy St. Vincent Medical
Center, Toledo, where she was listed in critical condition this morning.
Starkey and his two passengers were not injured.
On Friday at 2:37 p.m. at Ohio 65 and Ohio 64 near Waterville, a northbound vehicle driven by Andre
Lemerand, Toledo, entered the intersection and turned left into a southbound vehicle driven by Robert
Kuehner Jr., Bowling Green.
After impact, Kuehner’s vehicle struck a vehicle driven by Kenneth Kasee Sr., Grand Rapids, who was
stopped eastbound at the intersection.
Kuehner was taken to Promedica St. Luke’s Hospital, Maumee, with incapacitating injuries by Middleton
Township EMS. He was not listed as a patient there this morning.
Lemerand was cited for right-of-way at a left turn.
