Literacy workshop held at library
The Children’s Place of the Wood County District Public Library is offering another monthly early
literacy workshop for parents and caregivers on Thursday, at 7 p.m.
Every Child Ready to Read is designed to help adults discover new and interesting ways to nurture reading
readiness.
Young children are welcome to attend with adults, but it is not necessary. Every family will select a
gift book to take home.
Trailer taken from BG business
A theft of a trailer containing over $5,000 worth of property was reported Monday in the city.
According to Bowling Green Police, the incident was reported at 9:18 a.m. at BG Battery, 803 S. Main St.

The caller advised that sometime since 11 a.m. on Sunday the trailer – an enclosed, 14-foot tandem axle
storage trailer – was taken from the lot at the business.
The trailer reportedly contained $5,000 in miscellaneous tools.
Thrift store closed two days
NORTH BALTIMORE — The St. Vincent De Paul Thrift Store on State Street will be open Wednesday from 10
a.m. to 5 p.m. and then closed Thursday and Friday.
Water Dept. closes BG street for repair
Body: Bowling Green’s water department will close North Prospect Street between Court and Ridge streets
Wednesday and Thursday to repair water services.
The street should be open to all traffic at approximately 3:30 p.m. each day.
