Today's Wayne library program canceled
WAYNE - Due to an illness of the presenter, the UFO Program that was to be held at Wayne Public Library today has been cancelled.

Rudolph woman injured in crash
WESTON - A Rudolph woman was injured Sunday in a crash on Silver Road, just south of Euler Road.
At 9:24 p.m., Casandra Duty was northbound on Silver Road when she drove off the road and into a ditch.
She was taken to Wood County Hospital by Weston EMS with a neck injury.
Duty was cited for reckless operation and leaving the scene of an accident.

Tree City USA awards given
Tree City USA Northwest Ohio Awards Ceremony will be held Thursday at the Hope United Methodist Church in Whitehouse.   
This is an annual program that recognizes individual community achievements in urban forestry. The Growth and Tree City USA awards are granted by the National Arbor Day Foundation and presented by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry.
The program includes presentations by Bob Jacksy, Toledo Area Metroparks Naturalist, on the Oak Openings Restoration, Amy Stone, OSU Lucas County Extension Educator on the First Detector Update, and Dan Wyandt, Penta Career Center Instructor, on Geographic Information Systems.

Legion plans fish fry
GRAND RAPIDS - Alva N. Sidle Post No. 232 American Legion will host a fish fry Friday. Serving will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the post home, 12580 Old U.S. 24.
The all-you-can-eat meal is $9.
