BG VFW offers dinner
A stuffed shells dinner with garlic bread and salad will be offered Friday from 4:40 to 7 p.m. at VFW Post 1148, 719 S. Main St.

Euchre tourney in Luckey
LUCKEY -The Luckey American Legion will host a euchre tournament Saturday at the legion hall, 335 Park Dr.
Food and registration will start at 6 p.m., the tournament will start at 7.
Registration is $5 and is limited to players over the age of 18.
Concessions and soft drinks will be available for purchase.
This is a BYOB event.
Proceeds support the programs of the legion and its auxiliary and help toward the upkeep of the hall.
This is the last tournament this spring.
Lake Township food on Monday
MILLBURY - A mobile food pantry, provided by Food for Thought and sponsored by the Firebelles, Ladies Auxiliary, will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lake Township Fire Dept. Station 1, 4505 Walbridge Road.
Families from Lake Township, including Walbridge and Millbury, may attend.
New users will need to bring I.D. and proof of residency. A meal will be served beginning at 4 p.m. A representative from Hannah's Socks will be there.

Route 24 closed for road work
Beginning Monday through the month, South River Road (former U.S. 24) from Henry Lucas County Line Road to Providence-Neapolis-Swanton Road will be closed for culvert replacement.
The suggested detour is Ohio 295 to Route 24 to Ohio 109.
Effective April 22 through August, expect intermittent lane restrictions on South River Road/Anthony Wayne Trail (former Route 24) from Henry Lucas County line Road to Dutch Road for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Additional closures for culvert repair will be announced.

One taken by air ambulance after Sunday crash
One woman was injured in an accident Sunday on Huffman Road, southeast of Bowling Green.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 4:55 p.m. Amanda Stollar, West Leipsic, was southbound on Huffman Road at Linwood Road, when she attempted to pass Keith Niswander, Findlay, who was attempting to turn left, and struck Niswander’s vehicle.
Stollar’s vehicle then came to rest in a ditch in the southeast corner of the intersection.
She sustained incapacitating injuries and was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, by air ambulance. She was still in the hospital Wednesday, but was not listed as a patient this morning.
A citation has not yet been issued in the crash.
