BGFD called to 2 brush fires
The Bowling Green Fire Division was called to two brush fires in the city on Tuesday.
The first incident was reported at 4:03 p.m. at the Administration Building on the campus of Bowling
Green State University, 200 Thurstin Ave.
Mulch and leaves on the east side of the building, under a row of hedges, were found to be smoking.
The second incident – a grass fire – was reported at 4:54 p.m. in the 1000 block of North College Drive
on the west side of the road near the railroad tracks.
Both fires were extinguished using a total of 400 gallons of water.
The causes of both incidents is undetermined.

possible. Southwest winds with gusts up to 40 mph.
Extended forecast – Partly cloudy Saturday with highs in the mid 40s. West winds with gusts up to 35 mph.
Overnight lows in the upper 20s. Partly cloudy again Sunday with highs in the lower 50s and lows in the
mid 30s. On Monday, highs in the lower 50s with a 70-percent chance of rain.
