Conneaut Ave. closed Thursday
Conneaut Avenue in Bowling Green, between Haskins Road and Meeker Street, will be closed Thursday beginning at 8 a.m. in order to perform sanitary sewer cleaning.
Emergency vehicles will be able to pass, and the road will be opened to traffic after 3:30 p.m.
Food giveaway in BG Friday
Government food distribution in Bowling Green will be Friday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church on East Wooster Street.
Fish fry Friday in BG
The Bowling Green Eagles will host a fish fry Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
The all-you-can-eat meal is $8.
The public is welcome.
Brush pickup in Perrysburg
PERRYSBURG - Brush pickup will begin in the city on Monday.
All brush to be picked up must be set out no later than 7 a.m. that day. City crews will take branches, bushes, logs, stumps, firewood and Christmas trees.
Pickup will begin on the west side of town and will move east. Crews will not return once they have been down a particular street. A supervisor will check daily to ensure all brush piles were picked up.
If items such as ornamental grasses, weeds, sod or leaves are mixed with the brush pile, no items will be picked up and the homeowner will be responsible for removal of all items.
This is not a large-item pickup.

Meetings set for park district grants
The Wood County Park District will hold three meetings in April for municipalities interested in applying for Local Park Improvement Grants.
The meetings, all taking place at 7 p.m., will be held:
• April 8, at the Green Room of the W.W. Knight Nature Center, Perrysburg.
• April 19 at the North Baltimore Library.
• April 24 at the Wood County Park District Headquarters, 18729 Mercer Road.
Grant applications will be due in June.
