BG Cruise In starts May 5
The Monday night BG Cruise In inaugurated last year in the parking lot of O’Reilly’s on South Main Street
will move to the Huntington Bank lot on South Main at Clough Street this season.
The first BG Cruise In will be May 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. and continue each Monday through Oct. 13, according
to organizer Tom Striggow.
There is no entry fee. The event is casual and vehicles can show up and leave at any time during the
three hours.
Any make or model is welcome.
During the 23-week 2013 season, Striggow said more than 400 vehicles participated.
State patrol seeks community call-in input
The Ohio State Highway Patrol welcomes calls from community members in an upcoming public call-in session
addressing the patrol’s ability to comply with re-accreditation standards.
The patrol is submitting its eighth re-accreditation application through the Commission on Accreditation
for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).
The assessment team from CALEA will be conducting an on-site examination of all aspects of the division’s
policies and procedures, management, operations, and support services. The public call-in session will
be held April 14 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Comments regarding the patrol’s ability to comply with the standards for accreditation can be made toll
free by calling 1-866-931-6448.
Anyone wishing to submit written comments may send them to the Commission on Accreditation for Law
