Bomb threat not ‘credible’
A county man made a bomb threat against Wood County Job and Family Services Wednesday, but the incident
was not viewed as "credible" by the agency.
The call was reportedly placed by a North Baltimore woman Wednesday afternoon and routed to a Marion
County JFS office due to the agency’s regional call system.
According to Bowling Green Police, the woman’s husband was heard to say in the background that he would
"blow the (expletive) place up," referring specifically to the Wood County office.
Police were notified of the incident. However, it was discovered that the man making the threat is unable
to leave his bed due to an illness. No citations have been issued.
The Wood County JFS office did not evacuate as a result of the incident.
"We didn’t view it as credible," said JFS Director David Wigent. "We get these
periodically and you kind of evaluate whether they’re credible or not. And in this particular case we
didn’t."
