Assault reported in downtown BG
A man reportedly went to the hospital after an assault in the downtown early this morning.
Bowling Green Police were informed of the incident at approximately 3:15 a.m.
The male, who was in the emergency room of Wood County Hospital, had reportedly been punched in the face
when he exited an establishment in the 100 block of East Wooster Street.
Cat found dead in carrier
On March 13 at 2:45 p.m., a soft red pet carrier was found on Liberty Hi Road between Poe and Long Judson
roads.
The carrier contained a deceased black and white male cat. It appeared the cat had been shot inside the
carrier.

Sharing Hands serves free meal
LUCKEY – Sharing Hands will serve a free meal on Monday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the American Legion
Post No. 240, located at 335 Park Dr.
The meal is open to all those living in the Eastwood School district. On the menu is chicken and noodles,
vegetable, salads, roll, cake, and beverage.
Take-out orders are available and the meal is open to the public.

The next meal will be April 28.
Genealogical Society meets
Members of the Wood County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society will hear about two significant
innovations – the Internet and DNA – in researching family history.
Members Alyce Walden and Dick Juergens will share their knowledge and experience using DNA, a new tool to
aid in family history research.
The group meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Wood County District Public Library meeting room.
A brief business meeting precedes the program. Officers for 2014-2016 will be elected and introduced at
the meeting.
Webster Twp. sets special mtg.
Webster Township Trustees have called a special meeting March 28 to appoint a new fiscal officer.
The 7:30 p.m. meeting will be held in the township hall.
