A free legal clinic will be held on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Bowling Green Alliance Church, 1161
Napoleon Road.
Those with a legal matter or question can attend to speak to one of the volunteer attorneys.
BG crews worked 4,000 OT hours
Admitting his comment would probably turn out to be a "jinx" Bowling Green Municipal
Administrator John Fawcett Monday night told city council the city experienced "its ninth and final
snow emergency" last week.
Fawcett said the winter has "had an impact on personnel" who have logged over 4,000 hours of
overtime since Dec. 23, 2013. "It’s definitely more than the budget. I have not yet calculated
it," he said.
Milton Center inks EMS deal with Weston
WESTON – At Monday night’s meeting of the Weston Village Council, it was reported the Village of Milton
Center had signed the EMS contract with Weston.
It was also noted that the recycling efforts in the village will begin accepting cardboard next month.
The next meeting will be April 7.
Catalytic converter thefts investigated
Bowling Green police are investigating a series of thefts of catalytic converters from vehicles occurring
in recent weeks.
Police say five such thefts have occurred since the beginning of March. The first were in the vicinity of
Fairview Avenue and have now been reported on the east side of town.
The thieves cut the catalytic converters off the car. There is no pattern to what kind of vehicle is
being targeted and the thefts appear to be crimes of opportunity.
Police speculate that the equipment is then sold to scrappers.
